Talisman Energy USA is a subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc. of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. As the most successful natural gas exporation and production company in New York, Talisman USA is now operating in Pennsylvania, where we are successfully producing the Marcellus Shale formation.

We have spent millions of dollars annually buying local services and products to support our activities (leasing, drilling, facilities and pipeline construction, maintenance, etc). In addition, each community with a producing well receives town, county and school taxes based on production. Talisman Energy USA also believes that community organizations where we live and work should benefit from our operations. Number one in New York
Talisman Energy USA is the largest natural gas producer in New York State. In 2008 Trenton Black River (TBR) formations natural gas from 63 TEUSA wells in the Southern Tier produced 40 BCF (Billion cubic feet) of gas.
Growing Success in Pennsylvania
In Pennsylvania, Talisman Energy USA commenced drilling Marcellus Shale wells in late 2008. Since then we have drilled over 60 wells and in early 2010 we are producing in excess of 70 mmcfd of Marcellus Shale natural gas. This produced gas is currently going to market and being used here in the United States.
