Fortuna Energy Inc. Becomes Talisman Energy USA Inc.
Fortuna Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc., is pleased to announce that we have changed our name to Talisman Energy USA Inc. Effective January 2010, this change is in name only: our business operations will continue as normal, with a primary focus on safe and responsible operations. We look forward to a successful year ahead as we continue in our commitment to develop natural gas resources in the Marcellus Shale.
As a landowner leased with Fortuna, you may have questions regarding how this change may affect you. The name change will not alter your lease in any way, as you will be advised in upcoming correspondence from Talisman Energy USA Inc. You will still receive a 2009 W-9 from Fortuna Energy; however, please be advised that, due to the timing of this change, you may receive separate W-9s from Fortuna Energy Inc. and Talisman Energy USA Inc. in 2010.

Friendsville Group Update
As of 11/5/09, Talisman Energy USA has been successful in achieving its goals regarding lands leased in the Friendsville Landowner Coalition area and is looking forward to long-lasting relationships and opportunities in these communities. For those who have already signed Friendsville leases, payment can be expected on or about December 19, 2009, unless otherwise indicated on your Order of Payment. For those still interested in leasing with TEUSA, new leases will continue to be accepted on membership coalition lands; however, any leases signed after the deadline of November 15 will be subject to TEUSA’s standard lease.
