Protecting Our Groundwater Aquifers
Talisman Energy USA takes groundwater protection very seriously, as evidenced by our excellent environmental protection track record. Understanding the procedures in place is imperative to recognizing the importance that is placed on groundwater protection. The attached article outlines TEUSA's casing and cementing procedures that are a part of every drilling operation. Attached also are diagrams displaying TEUSA's casing practices that protect groundwater aquifers, as well as diagrams of both the Trenton-Black River and Marcellus formations relative to groundwater aquifers and TEUSA's drilling operations.
